Why We Built This Site
Utah does not place every criminal record in one public database. Millard County Sheriff's Office keeps county incident, booking, and jail material. District and justice courts hold filed charges, hearings, dispositions, and sentences. The Utah Department of Public Safety, Bureau of Criminal Identification maintains fingerprint-linked statewide history but does not offer an unrestricted public name search. Utah Department of Corrections and the state offender registry answer still different questions. We assembled the official contacts, search paths, fees, and request steps needed to move between those custodians.
What You Will Find Here
- Official access routes: where Millard County residents can search court cases or request county records
- Self-record steps: how fingerprints support a Right of Access request through Utah BCI
- Local contacts: how to reach the sheriff, Fourth District Court, and the east and west justice counters
- Expungement basics: which Utah agency issues eligibility certificates and where a petition is filed
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site, not part of a Utah court, the Millard County Sheriff's Office, or any state agency. Those boundaries matter:
- We do not issue certified court records or BCI criminal histories
- We cannot submit GRAMA requests or expungement papers for a reader
- We do not provide legal advice about a charge, warrant, or case
- We cannot correct a government file or guarantee that a fee, hour, or contact has not changed
- We do not perform an official background check for another person
An official copy must come from its custodian, such as the sheriff, the court clerk, or Utah BCI. This resource only identifies those channels.
Search Partners
Third-party providers power search boxes on some pages. They control their own results, terms, and prices. A paid signup reached through one of those tools may produce a referral fee that supports this resource. We do not set the provider's charge or decide what its results contain.
